I’m an almost-28-year-old adjunct English professor. In July 2008 I returned to my hometown in northeast Texas to be near my family. While I spent a little over a year living and teaching in eastern North Carolina, nothing could keep me away from Texas.
I’ve always been interested in social and political issues. In fact, at the ripe old age of–really young…7 or 8–I had a definite idea of who I wanted in the White House. I led the Democratic wing of my elementary school classes, won debates on the merits of abortion rights, and who knows what else. Don’t ask me how I got these ideas at such a young age because my family never overtly tried to influence my political beliefs. In fact, my views exist in stark contrast to theirs in some respects. However it happened, it stuck like glue.
It’s only recently that I’ve reached a comfort level that leads me to believe that I can sustain a blog about some of these topics. In addition to blogging about politics and environment, I also maintain a personal and reading blog (Tripping Toward Lucidity: Estella’s Revenge) and I co-edit the literary e-zine, Estella’s Revenge.
Aside from writing and reading, I enjoy cooking, travel, music, movies, and motoring around in my new 2008 Toyota Prius, Pandora.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you’ll come see me again!

Can’t believe there is an Obama supporter in my old home town of Caddo Mills.
Good Luck
